Recently, the two biggest Asian military had a small face-off at the border, which brings us to write this article on the comparison of the military of the two countries; India and China. The armies of both countries had a face-off at the border at Ladakh which saw 20 Indian soldiers to demise including a high-post officer of India. China is comparatively powerful and seem to have edge over India, according to Global Fire Power, an online portal that provides analytical data of military power.
A comparison of both countries annual defense budget, China has an annual defense budget of $179 billion in comparison to India’s just under $67 billion.
Now, moving on to militia comparison, according to a recent survey, China possesses 320
nuclear warheads. India owns 150 nuclear arsenals.According to the Chinese Defense White Paper, it has two types of nuclear-powered attack submarines in service, having second nuclear strike capability. India has also built second-strike capability recently with the commissioning of indigenous Arihant-class nuclear submarine. New Delhi has also taken a nuclear-powered submarine INS Chakra on a 10-year lease from Russia.Many experts compare this face-off as Dragon vs. Elephant, taking China as Dragon(As Indian Media calls), and India as an Elephant.
