SSD vs HDD | The differences:

SSD vs HDD | The differences:

Welcome here, today we will discuss about SSD and HDD.

First let's start with the full form:

SSD: Solid State Drive

HDD: Hard Disk Drive

From the above name, you might have known that these are storing devices. HDD is an old-school storage device where is SSD is a newer and faster type of storage device.

HDD uses mechanical platters i.e; a moving reader/writer head which helps to access data. Where as, SSD stores data in instantly accessible memory chips like a RAM.

SSD vs HDD | The differences:

You are here, means that you are likely to buy a new drive (don't get offended if not), so without any delay let's begin our discussion:

 Comparison on: SSD HDD
  1. Price Comparatively Expensive than HDD
1 TB SSD price in Nepal: Rs. 18,000 or more...
 Cheaper than SSD
1 TB HDD price in Nepal: Rs. 8,000 or more...
  2. Size Available between 2.5'' to 1.0" Available between 3.5" to 2.5"
  3. Main Feature High performance processing and
faster access to data.
Long-term storing with high storing capacity on low cost.
  4. Read/write speed 200 MB/s to 2,500MB/s upto 200MB/s
  5. File copy speed 200-550 MB/s
(Though this may differ)
 50-120 MB/s
(Though this may differ)
  6. File Opening speed Upto 30% faster than HDD.  Slower than SSD
  7. Power Draw Less power draw
(on avg., 2-3 watts)
 More power draw
(avg., 6-7 watts)
  8. Heat Less heat is evolved as their is no moving part. High amount of heat that may damage itself due to moving parts.
  9. Drawbacks Not good for long term archival of data.
Mayn't be as durable and reliable as HDD.
It is slow as mechanical components take longer time to read/write than SSD.

SSD vs HDD | The differences:

From the above table, you might have known that SDD is far more better than HDD in terms of quality and data speed, but yeah, SSD is costly. So, if you are buying a new drive or a new laptop, I would recommend you to buy a SSD or the laptop with SSD.

After a few months of waiting, smartphones running Android 6.0+ also received Google Assistant, and just a few days ago Google launched the Google Assistant SDK which allows Assistant to be run on basically any platform. Today, we will show you how to install Google Assistant onto your Windows, Mac, or Linux machine using Python. Note: at this point in time, this is purely for educational purposes. Fix for NET Framework 3.5 not installing on Windows 10

I'm a gamer at heart, so you can imagine how annoyed I was when I saw that a Windows 10 error was preventing me from running certain titles. Many modern games require  NET Framework 3.5 in order to run, but... whenever I tried to install it on my Windows 10, I got the " DISM failed. No operation was performed ." error message. Since I'm sure I'm not the only one facing this problem, I've decided to show everyone how to fix it. For those of you who are interested, the Net Framework is a programming infrastructure that Microsoft created to help developers build and deploy products that use .NET technology. Since there are a lot of applications and services that rely on .NET (Dot Net) for their functionality, you can imagine that this kind of error can be quite irritating. Here are a few solutions that you should try: Solution One This is the one that takes the least time, but you need to have the USB stick that contains the Windows 10 installer plugged into your...
