Top 12 Cricketing Nations of all time - 2020Here, we will discuss on 'the top 12 cricketing nations of 2020'. First of all, let me make clear that this article is based on true facts and searches, but not on my personal feelings and emotions. The '2020' on the heading doesn't mean that this list focuses  on only 2020, but we will be focusing from the start of cricket and till now. That means, we are talking about the top 12 nations playing cricket from the beginning and '2020' in the heading only means that this list is a list created in 2020 or updated in 2020. So, now without more talking, let's start our countdown...

  • Afghanistan: Afghanistan is full member since 22 June 2017 and got it's test status in 14 June 2018. As it is a newly member, its ranking is lower in the list. At present, the current ranking of Afghanistan in tests is 9 and in ODI& T20I 10. Till now, Afghanistan has played 
    4 tests of which win to loss ratio is 2:2. 
  • Ireland: Ireland is full member since 22 June 2017 and got it's test status in 11 May 2018. It is also a newly added member, its ranking is lower in the list. At present, the current ranking of Ireland in tests & T20I is 12 and in ODI it is 11.

  • Bangladesh: Bangla Tigers are the full member of ICC since 26 June, 2000. It had got it's test status since 10 November, 2000. The current ranking in tests is 10,in ODI, it's 7 and in T20I it's 8.

  • Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe got it's ICC membership in 6 July,1992 and tests status in the same year on 18 October 1992. Its's current rankings in tests, ODIs and T20Is are 11, 14 & 11 respectively.

  • Sri Lanka: The Lankans are ICC permanent member since 21 July 1981 and they got the tests status in 17 February 1982. The ranking of Sri Lanka in Tests ODIs and T20Is are  5, 8 and 7 respectively.

  • Pakistan: Pakistan got it's ICC Membership on 28, July 1952 and test status since 16, October 1952. They are currently ranked 7, 6 and 4 in tests, ODIs and T20Is respectively.

  • West Indies: The Windies are permanent member of ICC since 31 May 1926 and started playing tests since 23 June, 1928. They are currently ranked 8, 9 & 9 in Tests, ODIs and T20Is.

  • South Africa: The Proteas got theri permanent membership on 15 June 1909 and started playing tests since 12 March 1889. They rank 6th in tests, 4th in ODIs and 5th in T20Is.

  • New Zealand: The Kiwis got the permanent membership on 31 May 1926 and got its tests status on 10 January 1930. They currently rank 2nd in tests, 3rd in ODIs and 6th in T20Is.

  • England: The English team of England and Wales started playing tests since 15 March of 1877 and got it's ICC membership on 15 June 1909. They currently rank 4th in tests, 1st in ODIs and 2nd in T20Is.

  • India: India got the permanent membership on 31 May 1926 and got its tests status on 25 June 1932. They currently rank 3rd in tests, 2nd in ODIs and 3rd in T20Is.

  • Australia: Aussies started playing tests since 15th March of 1877 and got permanent membership of ICC on 15 June 1909 along with England and South Africa. They currently rank 1st, 5th and 1st in Tests, ODIs and T20Is respectively.
